Planned, biggest changes are:
- change Star colors on most variants to be different to piece colors (already defined)
- change board and/or piece colors on Tamoachan and Tlalocan variants (not entirely sure)
- change movement of Shaman (mostly defined)
- change movement of Monolith and Star-child (not sure)
Nineteen and One variants will feature Star colors the same as piece colors.
Other Star colors are already defined for each variant, maybe slight adjustments would be needed, because those definitions are done blindly, without checking how does it look like when example image is made.
Shaman, Monolith and Star-child will retain their "alternate-fire" movement.
Shaman should get modified Unicorn movement as normal, and spiraling movement as alternate-fire. Light and dark Shaman also will move a bit differently, both for normal (different modification to Unicorn movement) and for alt-fire movement (light Shaman spiraling outward, while dark Shaman spiraling inward).
Only thing I'm not completely sure about is Shaman's interaction with other pieces during alt-fire movement. Currently, I'm thinking to make it differ, as well. For instance, light Shaman would move other pieces it stumbles upon on own step-fields, while dark Shaman would capture them. Again, I'm not sure about this.
For Monolith I'm not sure about normal movement. Alternate movement should include some kind of alignment, with Stars, most likely.
For Star-child I'm not really sure what will do, except I'll revisit existing rules, and lift usable ones.
We'll see what, in the end, will made it into the book!
