I started major code refactoring, as can be seen in repository, at https://github.com/mmlacak/crochess. This will take some time, so with latest updates it won't be possible to generate images used in the book, and probably it'll be so for quite some time.
The latest known good point is
https://github.com/mmlacak/crochess/tree/9cb86e31d97b8d298bdd00569c85d9e2124b5d2d, so if you'd like to compile pdf yourself, that's the point you're looking for. Refactoring won't bring in any new content, so you won't miss anything in the meantime.
Of course, as soon as I finish refactoring, I'll post about it, so that you know that it is again possible to build pdf from master branch, and that new content is coming.
