Doors to transcendence

As you might have noticed by a little changes to this blog site, I just have got myself approved for GitHub sponsorship. Or, you can, you know, just click on that convenient button in the upper-right corner reading "Sponsor" 😉. Thank you!

As you can see, I don't sell anything here; book is in public-domain, source code is under free, open-source GNU GPL license. There are no trinkets to get you onto achievement binge, nor there is extra content hidden behind a pay-wall. There are no shout-outs to sponsors on social media, as I have no Twitter, Facebook, ... and frankly, don't wan't them. What you see is what you get.

So, donating to me doesn't benefit any sponsor directly, or indirectly.  And yet, I think this is The Right Thing™ to do, as it's the most honest with the people, even if it's the hardest sell. Not often, but I have bought some music I really liked, even though I could've just continue to listen to it on e.g. YouTube; I assume I'm not the only one to express my appreciation that way.

Sponsors should get acknowledged though, and this is what sponsorship page is all about. Page will have a list of all sponsors who have opted-in, ordered by amount donated for last month. Needless to say, amount itself will not be listed; only names, nicknames, brands, logos, optionally with a link to a personal, or company web-site. Also, there should be a similar list for sponsors who have donated in the past, but are not actively donating any more, this time ordered by total amount donated.

Doors to transcendence, you ask?

Some might say it's meditation, healing music, candles, Reiki, ... others might point you to partying, activities, substances, some other thrills ... but I'd say doors are mostly just revolving.
